  • On the device you want to install the upgrade, start SimpleMind+
  • Inside SimpleMind+ open the help screen by touching the (?) button.
  • In the help screen you will find a button named "Restore Previous Purchases".
  • Click the "Restore Previous Purchases" button and wait at least 30 seconds for the App to contact the app store.
  • The app store will then tell the app that you have purchased the app and "Full Functionality" will be activated.
  • This will NOT cost you any money !

Note: Login to the same iTunes account as you used when you originally purchased SimpleMind+

If you do not have access to the full version functions after you have InApp upgraded SimpleMind+ this is most likely because your upgrade to full functionality wasn't completed successfully.
Something may have gone wrong with activation, like a hiccup on the network or some other reason.
To fix this you can use "Restore Previous Purchases". To do this:

  • First start the SimpleMind+ app.
  • Inside SimpleMind+ open the help screen by touching the (?) button.
  • In the help screen you will find a button named "Restore Previous Purchases".
  • Click the "Restore Previous Purchases" button and wait at least 30 seconds for the App to contact the app store.
  • The app store will then tell the app that you have purchased the app and "Full Functionality" will be actitvated.
  • This will NOT cost you any additional money!

Yes: you can export your mind maps from SimpleMind Touch eXpress v 1.08 through v1.2.1 to full SimpleMind iPhone and iPad versions v 1.2.1.

In SimpleMind Touch eXpress:
For every mind map you want to transfer to the full version, press the button in the left bottom corner and then use "Export to SimpleMind' to transfer the mind map to the SimpleMind Touch full edition.

Note: this is no longer available in SimpleMind Touch Express v.1.3.0. After updating to the full version through In App purchase you keep on working with the same Mind Maps you created with the free version.

No. As a consequence of our strict privacy policy, the SimpleMind server administrator is not allowed to help you restoring links to uploaded Mind Map files.

If you have lost links to your uploaded Mind Map files, you can use the "My Web Folder" command from the SimpleMind Touch About. This gives you an overview of all Mind Maps you previously uploaded. You can recreate links from here.

Alternatively, if you still have the Mind Map on the iPhone / iPod, you can use Save to Web once more to get a fresh set of links.

SimpleMind does not collect email addresses, nor does it collect any other information from you.

When you use the Save to Web command, SimpleMind Touch uploads the Mind Map data and optional image files to the SimpleMind server and nothing else (no email addresses, no user names, nothing else). Because the Mind Map is then stored on the SimpleMind server the SimpleMind administrator could theoretically access your Mind Maps. However it is strict company policy to never do this.
As a consequence, if you have uploaded Mind Maps to the SimpleMind server and have somehow lost the links to the uploaded files, the SimpleMind administrator will not help you restoring these links or Mind Map files.
If you have lost links to uploaded Mind Map files, you should again use Save to Web to get a fresh set of links.

This page shows how to exchange Mind Maps with SimpleMind desktop.

Uploading a Mind Map to a server has several advantages:
It allows you to share Mind Maps with other SimpleMind Touch users (via email links). After uploading you get the option of sending an email link. Opening this link on an other touch device starts SimpleMind and imports the Mind Map on that device.
The server acts as a backup for your Mind Maps. Even if you loose a Mind Map on your device, you may restore it from the server.
Details can be found here.

By default SimpleMind Touch uploads Mind Map files to the SimpleMind server. Alternatively SimpleMind Touch can upload to a server of choice. The SimpleMind Touch application settings allow you to enter an alternative server URL. If you define a non-default upload server, this server should be able to accept POSTs for .pdf, .png and .smm files. The server response should be xml format describing the stored actual file URLs. If you are comfortable with .php and setting up a server to do this, please contact us by email for more details.
